Have you been SAR’ed yet?
SCU VIRTUAL SAR IS HERE TO CHANGE YOUR WORLD!!
SCU VIRTUAL SAR IS HERE TO CHANGE YOUR WORLD!!
Come get ready to transform your attitudes, values and beliefs about sex, sexuality, gender, pleasure, sexual expression and everything possible in between.
SCU Virtual SAR is based on the integration of the Humanistic Sexological Perspective on a foundation of authenticity, cross-cultural sensitivity, diversity, inclusivity, intersectionality in the broadest sense, including a focus on modern trends in sexology and a cross section of human sexual expression. We know from past experience that our SAR will rock your thinking and elevate your feeling to new states of awareness and ultimately broaden your horizons of acceptance--of yourself and others.
This is a rare opportunity to let down your guard, melt into beginners’ mind, explore new pathways, experience possibilities, and to bask in the safety of a community of peers led by seasoned SAR leaders who care about you every step along the way. If you are a professional working in any capacity in the broad scope of human sexuality, our SCU Virtual SAR is for you.
SCU Virtual SAR isn’t about ticking a box on the way to certification. It’s not a clinical training or a left brain “how to” workshop. It’s about feeling your way into the most open container you can be for your clients, your students, or your community, however that may show up.
SCU Virtual SAR is a celebration of the sexual human and the innate humanity in us all~and it’s fun!
Check out this great video
We design our SCU Virtual SAR as an integration of bodies, abilities, expressions, desires, ages, and behaviors. You will discover your local and global SAR Family and be immersed in a panoply of relevant eroto-sexual presentations of varied ages, ethnicities, body types, gender identities, and expressions within each of the four themes:
A potpourri of explicit media to show a range of human sexual expression.
Lectures and demonstrations with insider views of B/D, D/s, S/M, kink, and the role of consent
All about fantasy and colorful depictions of fetish play.
An explosion of imagery to show the full potential of the human form in various aspects of the sensual, the erotic and the sexual, including differently abled and unique body styles
SCU Virtual SAR will spark your imagination, your curiosity, and your desires to break through old patterns. We will show you something new, or at least a new perspective on something familiar, and illuminate the beauty and diversity of human sexual expression and behaviors.
There is no trigger warning for SCU Virtual SAR. SAR is about tapping into your values, attitudes, and beliefs about sex and challenging them to grow to include more of the spectrum of being human. We want to show you passion, lust, intimacy, and sex in as many ways as possible in the space of our time together. We WANT to trigger you, hopefully in a good way. This is a visceral, not academic, experience.
That said, we endeavor to embody pleasure and joy in the media we share. We source our clips from a variety of filmmakers and sources, and, no, we won’t tell you where we got them. Our goal is to capture authentic expression. To the best of our ability, we have ruled out any violent media -- we are all too aware of the coexistence of violence and sex in the world. SCU Virtual SAR is not about that.
Speakers are free to share what they choose to share about their Lived Experience. Their stories may include instances of violence, discrimination, or hatred. It is our job to hold them in safety and to listen respectfully. Their story is about them, not us as listeners.
There may be parts that are uncomfortable for you to see or listen to. We invite you to sit with that discomfort and see what is inside it for you. How can you grow? What is there for you to acknowledge or heal? Where are your edges? How does SCU Virtual SAR allow you to expand your ability to help others? Where are your erotic inspirations and how can you give yourself permission to bust through old limiting beliefs to find your own new “squee” moments?
Our SCU Virtual SAR team is here to provide support, but do make sure you have the resources to take care of yourself if needed (a loved person who can give you a hug, enough food to nibble, water for hydration, space to feel your emotions, etc).
SAR, the Sexual Attitude Reassessment & Restructuring training, was developed in the 1970s as a practical component of training for sexology students at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. This revolutionary program was created to help sexologists broaden their awareness and understanding of the vast array of human sexual behavior and expression and for them to move to greater understanding, acceptance and tolerance while celebrating sexuality to the fullest.
Today, SAR is required for certification by American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and other sexological organizations. It is a required component of the curriculum at Sex Coach U, and is recognized globally as an essential element of professional development for sexologists.
SAR is designed for sexologists (e.g. relationship psychologists, sex therapists, sex coaches, body workers, and spiritual sex teachers) and professionals working in allied fields (e.g. doctors, therapists, clergy, and social workers). This means that if addressing sex and sexuality with clients is part of your work, SCU Virtual SAR is for you!
SCU Virtual SAR is a highly provocative, experiential, cognitive, and affective experience. It is designed to push buttons and elicit feelings. SAR training helps professionals develop their sensitivity and knowledge about sexuality by exploring their own attitudes, knowledge, values, and beliefs.
This training is a life-changing experience: a breakthrough to realize boundaries and, maybe, a spark of curiosity to try something new!
Presentations include media (including contemporary film, television, and art), guest speakers sharing their Lived Experience, and demonstrations showing a potential range of human sexual expression. There are opportunities to process and discuss in small groups with the support of a trained facilitator.
SCU Virtual SAR is not a clinical training in sex therapy nor is it traditional sex education. It enables the participant to move emotionally,
acceptance, and tolerance of human sexuality in all its possible dimensions.
SAR dates vary and are offered in U.S.A. and European time zones. As per SAR tradition, there will be an optional evening event on Saturday, typically an educational/entertainment event that invites participation and expression. Details will be provided in your registration packet.

SAR pushed me to my limits, it helped me in overcoming prejudices, enabled me to look and communicate professionally on a sexual subject.
~Engelbert Beck from Hungary
I found that the SAR was balanced in the presentation and delivery of material, sensitive to the participants, and normalized the topic while new connections and community emerged.
